LOST CITIES
Lost Cities is a competitive two player game where you see who can set out on the most successful expeditions!
In Lost Cities, two players are setting out on multiple expeditions in a variety of territories using the cards in their hands. There is a set of cards matching the colour of each expedition, cards are numbered two to ten as well as three handshake cards for each expedition which act as multipliers for each track. However, the handshakes act as multipliers for negative as well as positive scores, so you need to be careful!
You take turns to either play a card from your hand or discard one which becomes available to your opponent and then draw a new card. You have to play cards to your side of the board in ascending order and the round ends when the draw pile has been fully used.
Each player tallies up the total on their cards in each expedition that they’ve started and then pays the cost of that expedition, so they minus 20 points. The multipliers are then applied so if you score less than 20 and played a few handshakes it goes from bad to worse!
Luckily the game is played over 3 rounds and the winner with the most points at the end of those is the winner.
Lost Cities is for 2 players, lasts about 30 minutes and is for players aged 10+
